I'm back today with a new movie review!
It's the story of a little girl who loved rom coms, but whose mother disgusted here about them. She feels like she has a crappy life, isn't about to speak up and has basically no confidence in herself and doesn't believe in true love. Oh, and she doesn't know how to say no to people. She has a big project to present, but every time she is about to do it, something happens : for example one of the investors telling her go search some coffee. But one day, she is mugged, and starting from there, her life begins to change : she hit her head and suddenly, here life turns into a rom-com. After this, she will discover her value and learn about all the shitty things in rom-coms.
I really enjoyed this movie, because it gives a critical look on rom-coms, in which the main character is basically (almost) every time saved by "the love of her life". The fact that the main character makes it to gain confidence all by herself for the first time in this type of movies looks great for the future : it gives another possible scenario than just "you are going to be saved by some kind of Prince Charming", and I find this great.
Oh, and let's talk about the actors : Rebel Wilson portrayed perfectly the main character, Liam Hemsworth is great in playing the superficial BCBG, and Priyanka Chopra interprets the rich hypocrite perfectly.
Of course, I always have to say that something is not great in the movie : I would say here it is how long it lasts : only one hour and a half!
