Cable girls | TV show review

Hi guys!

It's been a long time since I have begun the TV series Las chicas del cable. In fact, I watched it a few days after it was available on Netflix. It has actually become one of my favorite TV series (plus the original voices are in Spanish, which allows me to practice this language), because it contains everything it needs to keep things interesting : murders, drug traffic, a huge feminist touch (as the story takes place in the 20es, it was necessary) and love stories.

But let's talk about the story : it is about four girls who work at the national Spanish telephone company. One has a fuzzy past, the second is scared of everything because it is the first time she leaves her countryside alone, the third has a liking for girls and the fourth is beaten by her husband. The series shows their life, with their everyday struggles. It is centered on Lydia, the one with the fuzzy past : she had lost the love of her life when she arrived in Madrid as a teen, and finds him again at the telephone company, but a lot of issues come in their way.

I also enjoyed the fact that the series depicts the real situation at the time in Spain (but it was the same in whole Europe), with the conceptions of the period : mysogyny is a reality of the time and women have to fight for their rights.

Sooo if you are looking for a great TV show for your Netflix session tonight, you know what to watch !
